  1. Where did you get the boots from? I have been trying to find boots for my link cosplay

  2. I bought them at goodwill actually and then added on the top part to make them taller. Since then I've seen many other boots you could use without modifying. This is the best time too since winter boots are out.

  4. A good link? For what? I'm confused. A link to goodwill or a link to what the boots should look like or...?

  8. My little brother wants me to make him a Link Cosplay. Any advise? What kinds of materials did you use? Did you buy your patterns or make them? I would very much appreciate it if you could answer my questions. :)

  9. Hi! There's a lot of details in the posts about what materials I used and where I found them; a lot were finds at bargain stores, so I can't tell you what to find at a fabric store. The green came from a large set of curtains, while all the leather was from a huge pair of leather pants. The shirt was found at the Goodwill and sewn to modify it. The chain mail is just crocheted and sewed in underneath the tunic and shirt.

I did not use ready made patterns, I made my own out of newspaper. I used the basic templates from a tunic pattern to get started, though. I wish I could send you the links to some of the patterns or costumes other people made, but they have been taken down. I did a lot of searching on cosplay.com for Link costumes in the forums and followed links from there, as well as looking on Deviantart and Google. I hope you find some links that work!

If I can be any more help, feel free to ask!

  10. Wow this is great ^^. Would you be so kind as to tell me how you fabricated the chest belt or if you have purchased it, where from? Thankies

  11. Thank you! I'm glad people still find this useful. As for the chest piece, please look at this post: http://zeldacosplay.blogspot.com/2011/10/tunic-details.html?m=0
There's a section where I talk about how the chest strap was made. It held up well under the weight of the sword, actually! Let me know if you have any more questions.
